I came to the Caribbean in 1996 and as a ‘Designer/Craftsman’. I was thrilled by the huge potential and variety of materials, inspiration and opportunities that surrounded me. My experience in the creative industries, in Europe, the USA and the Caribbean (along with a formal design education in the UK) have given me a wide understanding of design process and the value good design brings.

My first introduction to the Caribbean was while working within the film industry. Discovering the islands opened my eyes to the huge scope for artistic creativity and freedom. The Caribbean region is a wonderful environment that has a diverse pallet of natural materials to inspire me. Our architectural design projects give me the opportunity to enhance that environment and create interesting contrasts between materials and style.
